Knock Knock! is an experimental horror game played with your ears, not your eyes.
You are trapped in a pitch-black mansion with zero visibility. Your only guide is a constant, rhythmic knocking. Your objective is simple: navigate the darkness, find the door, and answer it.
Your footsteps distinguish various floor materials, helping you understand your location. Haunting sounds around you create "Soundmarks" - landmarks made of sound - to help you mentally map out the mansion. You must use these cues to finally find the door and see who is so determined to speak to you.
The game utilizes Binaural Spatial Audio to replicate 3D soundscapes. Cues are muffled through walls or dampened based on their orientation to your ears, providing a true sense of presence in the dark. Your footsteps distinguish various floor materials helping you orient yourself.
Designed from the ground up to be played with zero visibility, Knock Knock! provides a nearly identical, high-tension experience for both sighted and visually impaired players.
Play time: 15–60 Minutes.
Zero visibility Exploration: You must navigate the mansion with zero visibility, relying solely on your ears.
Soundmarks: Use haunting audio cues to mentally map the layout of the game.
Native Narration: All menus and texts are read aloud automatically, requiring no external screen reader setup.
Warning: Uncomfortable audio.
*Headphones are recommended for the intended binaural experience.
